About Annie
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and received my Master’s degree in Marriage, Couple, and Family Therapy from Lewis and Clark College. I received a Bachelor’s degree in Family & Human Services from University of Oregon. Through experience gained in working within the social work field at various non-profits, I realized my passion for working with people on their relationships by providing direct therapeutic support. Most recently, I worked for Morrison Child & Family Services, providing mental health therapy to youth and families for several years while becoming licensed.
I enjoy working with people of all different ages, abilities, identities, sexual orientations, and backgrounds. I incorporate equity and justice within my work. I especially enjoy working with people as they move through different life cycle stages and the ways that this might impact functioning or sense of identity. I have experience working with people living with anxiety, depression, experienced trauma, and navigating challenges within a complicated family system. My approach is psychodynamic, person-centered, and trauma-informed. I believe that human beings thrive off the connections we make and are shaped into our unique selves based off of the feedback we receive from people, communities, and society. Therapy is a collaborative process and I hope to foster a safe environment that allows for movement into positive change. My therapeutic work is informed by Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) as I support clients in unpacking the many parts of themselves and their story.
